Valley Catholic Charities, Fresno Diocese
The Mission of Catholic Charities has been built from
the experience of having served the poor, needy and
disenfranchised of our diocese for over 70 years. "The
mission of Catholic Charities is to build and strengthen
communities of caring and justice for all people by
carrying out the social mission of the Church."
Included with Catholic Charities mission statement
is a realized vision. "Believing in the presence
of God in our midst, we proclaim the sanctity of human
life and the dignity of the person by sharing in the
mission of Jesus given to the Church." Catholic
Charities serves the many needs of individuals, families,
and communities to empower people to live lives filled
with dignity and self- reliance.
Currently, Catholic Charities, Diocese of Fresno serves
the 8 counties of Merced, Mariposa, Madera, Fresno,
Kings, Tulare, Kern and Inyo. Catholic Charities is
located in Fresno, Bakersfield, Merced, Porterville,
Farmersville, and Visalia. The services provided by
Catholic Charities, serve a culturally sensitive and
diverse population that includes direct help in crisis
situations, or programs that assist the needs of the
community that address:
