Rural Economic Alternatives Program
(a project of the American Friends Service Committee)

Rural Economic Alternatives Program (REAP) is a program of the American Friends Service Committee, a worldwide Quaker organization. REAP provides services to, organizes in, and lobbies and advocates for the immigrant and farmworker communities of San Joaquin County and surrounding areas. REAP works with the Coalition for Justice on issues in the Stockton Unified School District. REAP also works with various groups to expand and improve housing for the low-income and farmworker communities of San Joaquin County and surrounding areas. REAP is involved in state and national immigration issues and in foreign policy issues such as U.S. military aid to Colombia and Ecuador.
